Excel 2010

I have the great misfortune of having been forced to put the Office 2010 beta on this machine.  Scott, is there any chance you have crm4documentation beta version for 2010?

I'm using Office 2010 RTM on my own pc and have had no problem with using the CRM Documentation Generator with either the 2010 Beta or RTM.-

I am using the same version of CRM Documentation Generator available for download from this project - no changes were needed to take it to 2010.

BTW - I'm very happy with Office 2010 - "to each, his own" though...

I can't even get it to install.  The error message refers to missing components of 2007.  I might guess that I need to uninstall 2007 completely, but it's not my computer -- belongs to client.

That's what I meant by misfortune -- that it's not the way I would have done it.  It is true that Office 2010 is not much worse than 2007 ;-)

You might try re-installing Microsoft Visual Studio Tools for the Microsoft Office system (version 3.0 Runtime) - Available here: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=54eb3a5a-0e52-40f9-a2d1-eecd7a092dcb&displaylang=en - Then reboot. - I've had times where it didn't want to work until after the reboot.

When I get a spare couple of hours - I'll set up a VM with Office 2010 and see if there is a difference when installing it to a 'fresh' box, as opposed to one where 2007 was previously installed. -

Someone on my team tried unsuccessfully to get this working with Excel 2010 using the download link provided with this project. I was able to get this working by downloading the source code and rebuilding in Visual Studio 2010 (I didn't try to rebuild in 2008 so can't verify if that will work as well). After rebuilding in 2010, I published the project and ran the setup.exe file in the "publish" folder. I then zipped up that "publish" folder and gave it to my team members (including the aforementioned memeber who couldn't inintially install the project). They were able to install the add-in in Excel 2010 using the newly generated setup.exe program. Hope this helps and let me know if you want me to provide the zip of the version that worked for me.
